Announcement from Dragon Honda:
It is with deep regret to announce Dragon Honda Motorcycles Ltd went in to Voluntary Liquidation on Monday 15th September 2008.
The decision to close was a very painful one especially taking into consideration how it affects the staff and their families. There are no words of comfort adequate enough to ease their worries. We wish them every success for the future for which they duly deserve.
In an effort to dispel any rumours which often do the rounds at times like these. We would like to state that the company traded honourably to the end. Staff were fully paid and every effort was made to clear any creditors. No doubt there will be some who will be affected by our decision, which is regrettable.
The company had gone through many trials and tribulations in its 14 months, some of them well known, especially to the perpetrators of the criminal acts made against us. However, despite all our best efforts we eventually became victims of two climates which were out of our control…the British Summer and the Economic Downturn currently ravaging the country.
The support we received and continue to receive from the biking fraternity has been tremendous. We recognise and acknowledge there is a call for Honda to have a presence in Gwent. We have proved to the manufacturer that by supporting the brand customers will purchase their products. We are confident Honda will at some stage appoint another dealer to cater for Gwent. However, in the interim we would encourage you all to use Wayne Bowen Motorcycles in Treorchy or Thunderroad in Bridgend as each of these two dealers are able to fully support your biking needs.
Like most businesses, we all like to think we got it right..! However we’re sure there were areas where we didn’t quite make it. We respectfully ask you to click on the link below to give us some feedback. We would like to know whether our approach was right / wrong…what were the things we did right or not so right. What could we have done better? What was it about us that made you deal with us in the first place? Did you feel pressured when you entered the dealership. How good were the staff? Was there anyone of note you would like to specifically highlight for giving good service?
Any general comments are welcome. We will pass on any good wishes expressed to the staff. Please give us feedback, it is important for us to understand the feelings of all those who had dealings with us…Good or Bad..!
Thank you again for all your support, we believe we have made lots of friends over the last 14 months. We always felt we were in the peoples business…it just so happened we were privileged in being allowed to facilitate selling you our bikes.
